The Latin American Training Center-LATC is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s edition of its traditional screenplay treatment competition, LATINX, whose theme was “Borders”.
Category “Brazil”:
1st place – “Binacional” by Otavio Henrique Teruya Vidal (São Bernardo do Campo/São Paulo)
2nd place – “Dentro do Rio” by Barbara Leite Matias (Crato/Ceará)
3rd place – “Em Busca da Espada Samurai” by Wendel Yokoyama (São Paulo/São Paulo)
Category “In Spanish”:
1st place – “Madre” by Alejandra García Peña (Panama)
2nd place – “Sombras bajo el mismo sol” by Matilde Aricema Carreón García-Bedoya (Peru)
3rd place – “Tierra Arrasada” by Ana Carolina Guillén López (Mexico)
LATINX 2023 was organized by the Latin American Training Center-LATC with the support of the Brazilian Forum for the Teaching of Cinema and Audiovisual (Forcine), Final Draft, the screenwriting software, LatAmcinema.com, and Projeto Paradiso.
