Organized by the Latin American Training Center-LATC in coordination with the Dominican Republic Film Commission (DGCINE), the LATC-DGCINE Audiovisual Professional Skill Update Program for the Dominican Republic is a series of 10 online master classes taught by renowned industry professionals that will take place from August 22 to September 26.
The Program is open to recent graduates and audiovisual professionals from the Dominican Republic who wish to improve their knowledge, become acquainted with other audiovisual industry areas, and receive valuable skills updates to operate in this increasingly competitive and demanding sector. The objective of the program is to provide technical training for the sector to meet the demand generated by streaming services, in addition to traditional media, such as cinema, television and advertising.
The master classes will be taught in Spanish by renowned industry professionals on important areas of the audiovisual production chain, selected based on the 2022 Human Capital Sector Survey carried out this year by DGCINE. They are: Locations Manager (Manager and Assistant), First Assistant Director, Second Assistant Director, Script Supervisor, Props, Production Coordinator, Line Producer, Sound Designer, Special Effects Makeup and Costume Designer.
The Program is free for residents of the Dominican Republic and registration is open until August 19. Residents of other countries are also admitted at a cost of 15 dollars, with access to all 10 master classes. A Certificate of Participation will be provided for those who attend at least 7 classes.
