According to Solot, in order to facilitate this process, the RFC is undertaking a “transfer of technology” from Film London, the Film Commission of that city, with which the RFC maintains a formal Technical Working Agreement, based on its experience with the 2012 Olympic Games.

Solot’s presentation was part of the panel, “Challenges and Opportunities relating to the Organization and Commercial Exploitation of Major Sport Events,” within the International Conference on the Strategic Use of Intellectual Property by the Sport Industry. Organized by the National Industrial Property Institute (INPI), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the Technology and Innovation Network of Rio de Janeiro (REDETEC), the event took place during September 12 and 13 in the Rio Othon Palace Hotel.
