Located in Rio de Janeiro, the Latin American Training Center – Centro Latino-Americano de Treinamento e Assessoria Audiovisual, latamtrainingcenter.com is a regional audiovisual training and consulting center, focused on professional development of the new generation of film, television and new media content producers in Latin America. LATC is a member of the International Association of Film and Television Schools – CILECT, and also maintains agreements with the Independent Film & Television alliance – IFTA (Los Angeles), the National Association of Latino Independent Producers – NALIP (Los Angeles), the Fundación para la Investigación del Audiovisual – FIA (Valencia), Independent Filmmaker Project – IFP (New York), and the Entidad de Gestión de Derechos de los Productores Audiovisuales – EGEDA (Madrid).
The Professional Audiovisual Training Workshop: Focus on U.S. and Brazil is designed to train audiovisual content producers in Argentine to market their films in the U.S. and Brazil, through an intensive, detailed practical training course.
LATC has accumulated vast experience in technical training and film project development programs for professionals in the audiovisual sector throughout Latin America. However, in many cases, when Latin American producers present their projects in foreign markets, festivals and meetings with buyers, agents, distributors and acquisition executives, they lack professional preparation.
This Workshop is designed to meet this need, and prepare professional producers by providing the essential information and the tools appropriate for the current legal and commercial environments in the US and Brazil, two key markets for Argentine audiovisual content.
The workshop methodology offers specific segments for each market, focusing on three themes: Commercial Issues, Legal Aspects and Pitching. The lectures are conducted by recognized professionals from New York, Los Angeles and São Paulo. In addition, the workshop provides case studies from each country, and individual technical consulting sessions to provide business and legal guidance for specific projects of the participants. .
