The IDFA Competition for Student Documentary jury will grant the IDFA Award for Student Documentary to the best student film (€ 2,500). Selection for this competition also automatically allows you to take part in the exclusive IDFAcademy programme during the festival.
Documentaries of any length that were finished after 1 August 2010 are eligible for IDFA 2011. There are no fees involved, not even if your film gets selected. The last deadline is 1 August 2011. Please note that you may still submit your film before August 1 – even if it was completed between 1 August 2010 and 1 April 2011.

Submit with MyIDFA
In order to submit a film, you first have to create a MyIDFA account or use your MyIDFA account from previous years. This will allow you to submit films and projects to IDFA as well as to the Docs for Sale and FORUM markets. You can register for MyIDFA on our website.
