. EACH YEAR, IDFA, THE WORLD´S LARGEST DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL, SELECTS AND SCREENS MORE THAN 300 DOCUMENTARIES.
The IDFA Competition for Student Documentary jury will grant the IDFA Award for Student Documentary to the best student film (€ 2,500). Selection for this competition also automatically allows you to take part in the exclusive IDFAcademy programme during the festival.
Documentaries of any length that were finished after 1 August 2010 are eligible for IDFA 2011. There are no fees involved, not even if your film gets selected. The last deadline is 1 August 2011. Please note that you may still submit your film before August 1 – even if it was completed between 1 August 2010 and 1 April 2011.
The main regulations of the IDFA Competition for Student Documentary can be found on IDFA Regulations.
Watch some of the (award winning) student films that we have selected in the past on IDFA TV. They can be found on IDFA TV theme programs.
