Concluding with an online round-table of leading specialists in the industry, the Training Program for Audiovisual Professionals in Argentina offered a series of online masterclasses for below-the-line technicians from the country. It was organized by the Latin American Training Center-LATC in collaboration with the FilmAndes Audiovisual Cluster and the Argentine Audiovisual Corridor (CAAR).

The closing round-table was attended by prominent professionals from public and private organizations: Steve Solot: president of the Latin American Training Center-LATC; Carlos Alberto Abbate, rector of the National School of Film Experimentation and Production (ENERC), part of the National Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) of Argentina, Carlos Welti, representative in the Littoral Region of SICA (Argentine Film Industry Union), María Eugenia Ferrer, member of the Board of Directors of CAAR (Argentine Audiovisual Corridor), Marcelo Ortega, president of the FilmAndes Audiovisual Cluster, and Cristina Raschia, director, screenwriter, and academic coordinator of the FilmAndes Academy.

The Program, which took place from May 4th to June 8th, 2021, offered a series of two-hour virtual classes conducted by renowned specialists on selected topics, such as casting, assistant directing, sound, cinematography, among others. The average attendance was 44 people for each masterclass.

“I think this type of space is fundamental and helps to understand the different roles and tasks in any audiovisual project,” said participant Ciro Nestor Novelli. “The quality of the masterclasses was exceptional and very enriching. A great space for meeting and reflection”, added the participant Rocío Sosa Pinilla.
