The Latin American Training Center-LATC is pleased to announce the winners of this year’s edition of its traditional screenplay treatment competition, LATINX, whose theme was “Latin American Places”. Here are they:
Category “Brazil”:
1st place – “Trio Elétrico” de Geilane de Oliveira Souza (São Paulo, SP)
2nd place – “Lugar de Fé” de Escarletti dos Santos Pinto (Rio de Janeiro, RJ)
3rd place – “Viver de Cinema” de Júlia Balista Novaes Pereira (Salvador, BA)
Category “In Spanish”:
1st place – “El canto de una ausencia” de Ornella Sofía Di Salvo (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
2nd place – “El Viaje de Chikán” de Claudio Fidel Gomez (Córdoba, Argentina)
3rd place – “Alegría Macarena” de Jennifer Merla (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
LATINX 2025 was organized by the Latin American Training Center-LATC with the support of the Brazilian Forum for the Teaching of Cinema and Audiovisual (Forcine), Final Draft, the screenwriting software, LatAmcinema.com, and Projeto Paradiso.
