LATC announces the creation of a new Strategic Advisory Council for its social inclusion project Making My First Film.
The Council’s objectives are to:
Recommend priorities and strategies;
Open doors to partners and sponsors;
Validate indicators and results;
Suggest pedagogical and operational improvements;
Help mitigate reputational risks;
Support expansion into new territories.
The Council does not hold formal meetings but is open to suggestions and contributions from all its members, who are invited to attend all screenings of the films produced by students from the courses scheduled for 2026.
Council members include recognized leaders from both the public and private sectors, committed to promoting a program aimed at empowering young talents from underserved communities and creating a gateway for them into the audiovisual industry. The classes function as a space for students to express their creativity and life experiences through cinema, using low-budget and independent production techniques to empower young filmmakers.
