The Global Audiovisual Industry Immersion Program in Los Angeles is a unique five-day program of panels, meetings, workshop, networking and pitching opportunities with selected film and TV industry players and executives, finance conferencies and access to the American Film Market 2015!

Designed for international film and television industry professionals, the Program offers the opportunity to explore, understand and access the enormous potential of the global and US entertainment market.

The Program is organized by the Latin American Training Center-LATC with support of the Independent Film & Television Alliance – IFTA and the National Association of Latino Independent Producers-NALIP.

The Global Audiovisual Industry Immersion Program in Los Angeles includes:

  • Intensive Professional Film Industry Agenda (3-4/Nov)
  • LATC Pitch Training and Panel with Industry Players and Executives  (4/Nov)
  • Access to American Film Market (5/Nov) and AFM Finance Conferencies (6/Nov)
  • Welcome and Orientation Session (3/Nov)
  • 5 nights in a Los Angeles Hotel, breakfasts included (2-7/ Nov)
  • Transfers and Ground transportation in LA during the Program (2-7/Nov)
  • Certificate of Participation

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

On November 2-7, 15-20 global audiovisual industry professionals will have the opportunity to experience an “immersion” into the US audiovisual industry.

During the LATC Program, participants will have the opportunity to ask specific questions and discuss their projects with market film and TV executives, producers, agents, studio executives and distributors, to generate real possibilities for development, financing, distribution and co-production. And will also have access to the American Film Market, the premiere global marketplace for films.

Among the many companies and organizations that have collaborated with previous LATC Programs are: Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA), Producers Guild of America (PGA), Creative Artists Agency (CAA), William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME2), Motion Picture Association of America-MPAA, Directors Guild of America (DGA), The Radmin Company, IM Global, the Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP), Sony Pictures Classics, HBO Documentaries, Goldcrest Films, Overture Films, Circle of Confusion, Cinema Tropical, the Independent Film Channel, Phoenix Picture, UTA and Participant Media.

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE?

The Global Audiovisual Industry Immersion Program in Los Angeles is a full-time program and is open to filmmakers, entertainment and media managers, lawyers, professors, students, executives and government officials from all over the world interested in an “immersion” into the US audiovisual industry.
Interested people are free to participate with or without film projects.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAM

  • The Global Audiovisual Industry Immersion Program in Los Angeles is a full-time, 40-hour program.

FULL COST AND DISCOUNTS OPTIONS

The Full Registration Fee options are:

  • US$ 3,020 (single room occupancy);
  • US$ 2,720 (double room occupancy).

Applicants will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. The full registration deadline is September 1st! 

Registration Fee with the Early Bird 5% discount for payments made by August 1st:

  • US$ 2,869 (single room occupancy);
  • US$ 2,584 (double room occupancy).

Registration Fee with a 5% discount up to August 1st for:

a) members of audiovisual professional associations from Latin America and Europe;
b) members of LATC partners (EGEDA, ABPITV, CILECT, FIAPF, SICAV), and
c) participants in previous LATC programs.

  • US$ 2,869 (single room occupancy);
  • US$ 2,584 (double room occupancy).

Promotional Registration Fee with NO Hotel Accommodations included:

  • US$ 2,000.

IMPORTANT: THE DISCOUNTS ARE NOT CUMULATIVE.

  • International credit card via PayPal.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Medium-level English proficiency (minimum: good comprehension, average speaking) is required.
  • Completed personal information with 500 characters biography and photograph are required by September 15th.
  • US tourist or business visa. Each participant is responsible for round-trip travel arrangements from city of origin to Los Angeles and US entry visa.
  • Minimum age: 18.

NOTES

  • Confirmations of the completed registration with payment will be provided by email.
  • Confirmation of the Program subject to minimum number of 10 confirmed participants.
  • Filmmakers who intend to discuss or present their film projects in group meetings must provide a one-page synopsis (in English) by May 20th. LATC cannot guarantee that all projects submitted will be presented.
  • In the event of cancelation of the program, deposits made through PayPal will be returned, less corresponding PayPal transaction charge.
  • LATC reserves the right to make necessary changes to the schedule at any time, without notice, and the right to cancel/substitute meetings, seminars or dates/times, subject to speakers’ availability.
